Knowledge is Power.
From 1978 to 1996 a dry cleaning service contaminated groundwater in Haysville, Kansas with Tetrachloroethylene (also known as PCE or PERC), Trichloroethylene (TCE), Cis-1,2-Dichloroethylene (DCE), and Vinyl Chloride. The dry cleaning service was located at 412 W. Grand.
The company left town in 1996. In 2011, there was interest in developing the property but during that process they discovered the contamination. The State of Kansas knew about the situation in 2011, however the public was not alerted until 2017.
According to our research, people that grew up in the area during the 80’s and 90’s have uncommonly high rates of cancer, neurological and reproductive disorders. We are working together as a team to spread awareness. We love Haysville, it’s an ideal place to raise a family.
However, we want to make sure that people have the right information to share with their doctors so everyone can monitor health issues accordingly.
We’re afraid more people may be sick and they just don’t know it yet.
Please know that you did not have to be on well-water to be effected. Vapor intrusion can happen when contaminated soils and groundwater release vapors, which have the potential to move through soils, enter indoor air of nearby buildings, and be inhaled by occupants at unacceptable concentrations.

Everything that I’m seeing in America, when it comes to the groundwater contamination and the poisoning of people I see, it’s a moral issue. Nobody’s ever gonna convince me that a CEO wouldn’t care if his own child was poisoned.
